Films

Paapa’s Life Lessons:
In Paapa’s Life Lessons, a grandfather passes on a legacy of lessons to his grandson as he reflects on his experiences, ambitions, regrets, and observations. This short film marks the return of award-winning filmmaker Gene Adu into the scripted narrative space. He describes it as a collection of deeply personal thoughts and a layered piece of art that he hopes audiences would sit with and replay over time.

Jolt – A short film about fatherhood:
If you could confront your parents about how they raised you and how it affected your life at the moment, what would that conversation look like? This film, starring veteran Ghanaian actor Albert Odartei Jackson-Davis, questions the socio-cultural norms around “African Parenting” as depicted in a conversation between a father and son about forgiveness, fatherhood and what’s left of their long bitter relationship.

MANDEM – A Goodnews Documentary:
MANDEM is a short series about young men and women who were orphaned early, came from broken homes, and had to find unconventional ways of earning money to fend for themselves and their families.
